The third day of the Phantasy Star Online 2 Alpha 2 test has ended and I am still not bored of the game yet, even with the limited alpha content. Now that I played both the Ranger and Hunter classes of PSO2 Alpha 2, I decided to try out the magician class called Force. Just like all the other PSO2 Alpha 2 previews, I have prepared a bunch of HD 1080p gameplay videos of the Force class in action. Come prepared and watch me blast away through some of the dungeons in the current build of PSO2 Alpha 2!
Code Attack Quest
I usually prefer playing melee classes but after playing the magician class of PSO2 A2, I am starting to have second thoughts on which class I want to max out first in the upcoming alphas and betas. I found myself spamming the fire spell in first few jungle forest looking areas of the game mainly because the monsters were weak to that element. The next region had monsters who were weak to both fire and ice, so I was shuffling between those two spells left and right. This class felt a little bit weak compared to other classes or maybe it's because my weapon wasn't upgraded as much compared to my party members.
Rock Bears x 3
This class would have been a lot more fun if the servers weren't jam packed. I never really got around to using my healing spells a lot due to the crazy lag and latency from the servers. I was always often running out of PP, so I ended up melee'ing stuff so that I can regen my PP faster also known as mana/stamina in other games.
Code Protection Quest
Phantasy Star Online 2 Alpha 2 seems to have some kind of endless mini event quests that you can trigger by walking to certain areas of the map. Some of these quests respawn, so you can stay inside the dungeon for as long as you like. As I have explained before, there are two kinds of quests. The main quest is picked by your party leader and everyone gets it, then you have your triggered random mini event quests inside that dungeon.
Code Elimination and Attack Quests
For some reason the seven star rod drop rate is broken or super rare. After three days of testing and three level 20 characters, I nor my party members have seen single seven star rod in the game. I actually had to spend my whole savings just to buy a seven star grade rod from the player shops. It's alpha and all but I see players selling rods as high as 500,000 meseta!! After I have successfully purchased my super duper expensive new weapon, I decided to grind it or in other terms upgrade/enhance it.
